This was my first CD and I wrote all the songs myself. In writing the songs, I wanted the songs to minister to people in a special way. I decided to make a CD to help with Crisis situations because no one seems to have the right words to say. After thinking about it, all hurting people want to hear is words of love. So in writing the lyrics, I stayed away from the word "Will", because a hurting person needs to deal with the hear and now rather than hoping for future things. So I was very careful to keep the songs simple and full of healing because when we set ourselves on God, He will be there.
In the mid 80's I worked at Berea Lutheran Church in Richfield Minnesota as an assistant to the Youth Pastor. I didn't have a communication device back then, so all I could do is write sermons and have the Pastor read it for me. I wrote a sermon called "WHAT IS A HANDICAP", and everyone thought I was crazy for putting it on my CD. But this CD made history as being the very first CD to be done using AAC. I badly felt that this sermon belonged on CD because it was going to be the first big public exposure of a disabled singer, and I felt like the obvious question was going to be "What is a handicap". So I included the sermon because I felt it was words of love in so many ways.
